VA Pension Aid & Attendance

For Veterans 65 years of age or older. The VA Offers two broad categories of Pension benefit programs:

Veterans Pension: Tax-free monetary benefit payable to wartime Veterans.

Survivors Pension: Tax-free monetary benefit payable to an un-remarried Surviving Spouse and/or unmarried child(ren) of a deceased Veteran with wartime service.

 

Veterans and survivors who are eligible for Pension benefits and are housebound or require the aid and attendance of another person may be eligible to receive additional monetary amounts. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: You need to have copies of your military records, such as your DD214 available when going through this process. If you cannot find your records, you can order them here: https://www.archives.gov/veterans/military-service-records.
